Recomended age:

The Torah Factory can be altered to suit any age range, from kindergarten to senior citizens.

Duration:

45 min - 1 hour

Cost:

£150 for half a day (up to 3 groups), £250 for a full day. Plus £1 per participant.

About the workshop:

Children are especially involved in this fascinating workshop! The Torah Factory shows the making of a Torah scroll. Starting with rawhide, the process is followed through tanning and sanding until the parchment is complete. Students mix the basic ingredients used to make ink for writing a Sefer Torah, whittle the end of a goose quill, and practise writing the letters of a Sefer Torah.
